Data Protection
Here we explain what data we collect about you when you book and complete the online check-in, why, and how long we keep it. We've tried to write it in plain language, not legalese.
Who is the data controller
The controller is abydlíš s.r.o., company number 24581232, registered at Husovo náměstí 175/17, 289 22 Lysá nad Labem, Czech Republic, which operates Apartmány České Žleby, České Žleby 51, 384 51 Stožec.
For anything regarding your data, contact us at info@apartmanyceskezleby.cz.
What data we collect
When you book, we need:
- first and last name
- email address
- phone number
- stay dates and number of guests
We never see or process your payment details (card number and so on) ourselves. Payment is handled by the payment gateway, which holds your payment details, not us.
Why we collect it
We use your booking details only to confirm your booking, prepare the apartment for you and send you your arrival instructions and door code. We never pass them on anywhere else and never use them for marketing without your separate consent. The guest registration data from online check-in is handled for a different reason, explained below.
Online check-in and the guest register
Arrival is contactless, so before you arrive we ask you to check in online. Czech law requires us to keep a register of guests (Section 3g of Act No. 565/1990 Coll., on local fees) and to report guests from abroad to the foreign police (Section 102 of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the residence of foreign nationals). So for every guest we need:
- first name(s) and surname
- date of birth
- citizenship
- type and number of ID document
- permanent address
- for guests from abroad, the visa number if they have one, and the purpose of stay
We process these details because the law requires us to (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), so we don't need your consent. Without them we can't send you the door code.
We pass the details of guests from abroad to the Police of the Czech Republic, Foreign Police Service, through its Ubyport system. Nobody else gets them.
How long we keep it
We keep booking data for five years from the end of your stay, mainly for accounting and in case of a complaint. After five years we delete it.
We keep online check-in details for six years from the end of your stay, as the law requires, and then delete them. If a stay is cancelled before arrival, we delete them straight away.
Your rights
You can ask at any time for an overview of what we hold on you, or request correction of inaccurate data. You also have the right to request earlier deletion of your data, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it (for accounting, for example). Just write to the email address above.
If you feel we haven't handled your data the way we should, you can also contact the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů).
Security
Reservation data is stored on secure servers, and only the operator of the apartments has access to it.
Online check-in details are also encrypted (AES-256), so nobody can read them from the database without the key. Every view and export of the guest register is logged.
